Official: App World Launching in 10 Additional Countries This Month!
RIM sent us an email confirming that by the end of the month, BlackBerry App World will launch in 10 more countries beyond the current US, UK, & Canada. It will be available in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Luxemburg, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium – and support more languages, including French, Italian, Spanish and German.
Current BlackBerry App World vendors will be able to submit localized applications for the regions and developers will now have the opportunity to reach audiences in 13 countries, with more on the way. An updated vendor portal will launch in the next couple of weeks (www.blackberry.com/isvportal).
AND FINALLY RIM will make links for the App World work from the BlackBerry Browser!!!
In RIM’s words:
Please Share With A Friend!Vendors will [soon] be able to incorporate some other new features into their applications, including placing hyperlinks on their web sites that, when launched from the BlackBerry Browser, will open their product page in BlackBerry App World.
