ScreamingToaster let me know about their WordPress app that is now in public beta. It is essentially a blog editor for OS 4.6+ devices to edit your WordPress 2.7.1+ or higher blog. They plan on supporting other blog services like Tumblr, Blogger, Typepad,& Windows Live Spaces in the future.
I think this could have done very well if it came out a few months ago but now that the free official WordPress app is in public beta I am not sure how big of a splash this will make. It does not seem to provide any added functionality that the WordPress app does not have and it requires OS 4.6+ which the WordPress app does not. Also as per last time I spoke to ScreamingToaster this app connects to their servers which then connects to your WordPress blog so all content transfers through them first which is a slight security risk. On top of that since they do transfer all this through their server I know they were planning on charging for it but I am not sure if that has changed…
Either way if the official WordPress app does not work for you then you can fill out this form and ScreamingToaster will contact you within 12 hours with your install link. The official release date is set for July 24th.

I tried this via downloading through their blog post and they accused me to download it illegally and mess around because they didn’t know that they have a download link at their blog! It’s not a good application, it doesn’t use BIS or BES so you’ll pay for additional data usage!

One major fail I found with it within the first 30 secs was the fact that I can’t use the app without a data connection. So I can’t be underground and create some drafts while on the subway, since the app won’t even open without a connection.
