Snikkr Public Beta – Location Based Services & Social Networking
Snikkr has released a public beta of their location based social networking app for the BlackBerry. It requires OS 4.5+ and they are need more beta testers to give it a spin.
Personally I am not sure how well this will compete with the upcoming version of BlackBerry Messenger which has location based features but its worth a shot. The app gives you access to maps, directions and local search along with live tracking. Along with that you can share your location, status, and favorite places and limit how long you share that information for. The app will also share you status with twitter which is pretty cool.
