Wouldn't that be so awesome to be sitting in some boring meeting playing Sea Battle "online"?!? If the new BBM 5.0 supports such interactivity with applications (i.e. games), it could be a absolutely HUGE leg up on the competition for the BlackBerry platform. No other Apple/WinMo/Android/Symbian/etc. platform has a dedicated IM client that's as distributed as BBM!
