BBWeather v0.85 Released – Fixes Missing XOAP ‘link’ Error

blackberryweatherAwhile back Tateu took on the free BBWeather app and updated it for newer devices. Over the last day or two there have been some errors cropping up that have caused issues with getting the data from Weather.com. It looks like they changed how their feed works and the app had to be modified to accommodate that.

Tateu has updated the application to v0.85 which fixes this issue. You can pick it up OTA and for desktop install at:

Doesn’t work as push from BES Server. You do not have the option to select Wireless install and Policy. Any ideas?

I’ve tried three times in the past to install this on my VZW 8330 Curve and though it installs fine, it keeps telling me there is “No Location ID”. I’m in one of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas…it should work here, but it does not.

Larry, when you input the location ID, are you inputting your zip code? The app recognizes zip codes, not the actually spelling of cities… hope this helps!

David that is incorrect. Location I’d does recognizes the actually spelling of cities. As I’m from Ottawa,Canada and it found me. It put in the right I’Ð: just by typing “Ottawa,Canada”

Oddly, it doesn’t let me input anything. I was looking for where to add my zip code and I sure don’t see it. The app just installs and when I open it for the first time it starts giving me the “No Location ID” message but I don’t see where to add it. I’m sure I must be missing it, but I’ve been using these beasts since they came out with the first one. Thanks.

I can’t get this to work either, using either a ZIP code or a city, state format. Just gives “invalid location provided”. This happened in .7x and I also just got .89 desktop install.
