Looks like RIM was working while I was sleeping. Its happened again. Nelson & Felix let me know that the official RIM Google Talk, AOL Instant Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, & Yahoo Instant Messenger clients are now sitting pretty at version 2.1.48. No idea what changed so let us know in the comments!

Just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to install Gtalk on the BlackBerry BOLD with OS 5.0 installed, when I click on the OTA link I get a message that the browser is not supported.

This release might add support for the BlackBerry Tour

The Yahoo and Windows Live Messengers now offer an automatic “On The Phone” status when you answer a call. Pretty neat feature.

The OTA link listed above (http://www.blackberry.com/instantmessaging) does not seem to work. As ShuchberBerry mentioned i also get a message that the browser is not supported.
Tried the BOLT browser and the BB Browser. Both produce the same message.

You can also download the latest version by going through the blackberry world app and searching for the updated versions.

Ronen – now that I used the link that takes me directly to the GTalk download page, I’m getting the following message:
Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Google Talk.
Again, I’m using OS 5.0 on the BlackBerry BOLD
