Unsynched: Free Music Player for Bold & 8900 Curve

Developer: UnSynched Cost: Free

I am not sure how I missed this but Terry let me know about this slick new music player called Unsynched. This player is free and is intended to replace the built in music player on your BlackBerry. Right now it is a little light on features and only supports the 8900 Curve & Bold but it is free.

I know many of you are always asking for a 3rd party music player for one reason or another and xPlayer is really not cutting it any more. Now you can add Unsynched to the list of 3rd party music players available.

Check out more at this link or download it OTA at m.unsynced.com

Wow….. What a resource pig! I have about 1500-1600 mp3s on my SD card. This app caused my Bold to slow to a crawl as it “built a database”. The phone was completely unuseable. After 10 minutes of waiting on this app, I gave up. Even took 5 minutes to delete the app.

    No go for me.

  2. Hi,

Thanks for the review! Most of our users are having a great experience with Unsynced, but as mentioned in the comment above, there are a few users who are having problems. We have been working with these users to come up with a solution and have narrowed it down to people who have a) a lot of music placed in a lot of separate folders (ie what Media Sync or iTunes does), and b) have a lot of third party apps.

We will be releasing an update very soon, but in the mean time we definitely apologize.

For the rest of you, we hope you like it as much as we do!

Thanks for the write up again,

    Ted
