Verizon Offering BlackBerry Tour Without Camera for Preorder

cameraless-blackberrytour Wow this has been a long time coming. RIM has not released a camera-less BlackBerry since the 8830 (unless you count the 8350 camera-less version). Many people are not allowed to have ANY cameras at work so this is a real boon for government employees/consultants, lawyers, and more. I know many companies that are still issuing 8700’s and 8830’s because of the camera issue.

You can find the preorder for the BlackBerry Tour without the camera at this link!

  1. That’s interesting. I like my camera though, but I’d also like to work for the government. lol

  2. Unfortunately, according to the VZW website (following the link above), “Pre–orders not available for upgrade orders at this time.” (i.e., pre-orders are only being taken for new customers at this time). Apparently, this is due to an issue with the website that VZW is currently working to resolve. :-(
