Though fairly new to creating BlackBerry themes, Tony over at Cocky Culture, is fast becoming a new fave designer of theme junkies. Overkill (shown above left) and Rock King (above right)…two of his earlier themes, are probably some of his top sellers. However, don’t let these edgy themes give you the idea that he can’t do more classic styles…as LeatherBerry and his latest theme DaVinci (both shown below) clearly hit that mark.
It’s one thing to design themes, but something totally different to design themes that not only look great but offer smooth functionality and an overall professional feel. Cocky Culture’s themes boast all of the above.
I’ve pretty much tested most of his themes on my Bold and I am always very impressed with their quality and gorgeous looks. DaVinci has an interesting feel as on the home screen certain parts of the artist/inventor’s famous sketches highlight as you scroll over them and take you to various spots on your BlackBerry. If you click on his signature at the bottom, a hidden dock of customizable icons (the amount varies between devices) pops up. Oh, and they are such nice icons…going so perfectly with the overall theme.
As always, I recommend reading the entire description of any theme in the store as well as view the screen shots for your device so you can be sure you are getting the theme you expect.
