I just looked at m.google.com on my blackberry storm and it says that it’s still at 3.0.2

That was very fast. I checked earlier today and it was still 3.4.8.

when i dwlded it onto mu bold it was 3.4.9

One new feature, at least i never saw it on the last version, you now get a “map locations near me” in the drop down search box that opens said search in Google maps. This, coupled with their my location, and very accurate (for me) voice recognition, make this an impressive suite of programs… imho.
