ForceRadioOn: Free App Stops Low Battery From Turning Off Your Cellular Radio

The free ForceRadioOn app from Fabian has a pretty interesting purpose. For some reason some devices using certain OSs turn off your cellular radio when you reach a certain level of battery life. For example, AT&T used to turn it off at 15%. On the other hand when I installed the current beta build for my Bold and previously for my Curve it would never turn off my radio and it would just run down to 0%.

In case your device is turning off your radio when you reach low battery you can install Fabians ForceRadioOn to force it on. This only works for OS 4.3+ but it is free. I find on my current AT&T Bold that this is unnecessary since it never turns off my radio…

Hi have my Verizon 8330 randomly turn the radio off sometimes even if the battery is not low. It usually happens on a power down/power up. Even if I go into the Connections and manually turn it off and on, it doesn’t help. I have to do a full reset. Hopefully this will help that but I guess I have to wait until it happens again.
