DynoPlex eOffice Has Google Docs Including Spreadsheet Collaboration – Now $29.95

eoffice_animated I am not sure when this was added but I cannot imagine why DynoPlex was so quiet about it. Jamie pointed out to me that eOffice now has Google Docs integration and even supports collaboration on spreadsheets. eOffice has really fallen out of favor since OS 4.5+ brought Documents To Go for free. Still it had a pretty impressive (although clunky) feature set that they really revamped recently. They also drastically cut their price to $29.95 compared to their older $69-$129 price points.

The whole suite has some really cool features like:

  • Access and view files on your PC using a little tool installed on your PC
  • Subscription free online storage of your documents
  • Collaborate Real Time in Google Docs with spreadsheets.
  • You can also access files from your Google Docs account and edit them on your device by just entering in your username and password
  • Fax Directly from Your BlackBerry
  • Print Documents & Photos from Your BlackBerry to Bluetooth or mobile printers

It even has a free trial. I feel like I missed the boat on this one and have just installed eOffice again to give it a shot. I have not had eOffice installed since my 8800 so this should be interesting…

You can find the free trial in the store along with the full version for $29.95.

I’ve paid for the premium version of Docs To Go and for Dynoplex’s eOffice. I have to say that eOffice gives me more options, but it also seems to crash constantly. Docs To Go is more limited in what they offer… but at least it loads.

I’ve tried reinstalling eOffice and it didn’t help. I’ll give it another chance when they offer an update. Until then, it’s back to Docs To Go.

  2. dynoplex have some shady practices. i installed efile free edition. everytime i do a battery pull it asks if i want to use eoffice as default editor. note that eoffice is not installed.
then one time i accidentally clicked on yes. it broke the docs to go app completely, the .doc, .xls extension handling and even went as far as removing the docs to go applications from the menu. since eoffice was not installed, i was stuck with not being able to open any documents. had to reinstall docs to go.

thanks dynoplex, that’s why your products are not on my phone anymore.
