I picked up a couple mini to micro adapters that had a little lanyard on them so they stay attached to the mini cable end, so each charger around the house and in each car can charge either without having multiple chargers and multiple cables cluttering around.

If you guys think this is bad, take a look at the new HDMI spec for A/V gear! Once 1.4 hits there will be no less than ELEVEN HDMI "standard" connectors. Sheesh.

What a mess. I'm usually up on these things and am only now finding out about Micro USB. Leave to the consortium looking out for "the good of the customer" to come up with a standard for all devices and it be something other than what a majority of the devices already have (namely mini A).

Sorry but micro usb chargers have been in this $5-$7 price range for a while now. Also you can get a mini to micro adapter for less than $1. Its better to buy a USB car adapter and just use one of the many USB cables you probably having laying around. Every new portable device comes with one so I'm sure you have a few extras.
