IM+ 8.0 Officially Adds Twitter Support

implustwitter We mentioned a bit back that the beta of IM+ had Twitter support. Donnie let me know that Shape Services has now upgraded IM+ to version 8.0 and officially added Twitter support. IM+ is a really great application but even on sale currently at $34.95 it is still priced way to high. Hopefully they will have another sale soon. I am really loving the new ability to hold Twitter DM conversations like IM…

Full change log:

  • Twitter support
  • Sound notifications tuning in BlackBerry profiles
  • Resolving of Facebook connection issue
  • Send off-line message in MSN

You can find it in the store if you are interested at this link with a free 7 day trial. Now that it has AIM, MSN/Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk, MySpaceIM, Facebook, Skype, and Twitter all in one app things are really shaping up for those of us who picked it up earlier.

I can’t pretend to know how many copies they’ve sold, but I just gotta think not many people are willing to plunk down this much for an I’m app when there are so many free ones.
The aggregating is so cool though, maybe they are selling this like hotcakes even WITH the crazy high price, but seems to me a price more like $10 could easily nake this the first pay app to break into the Top on App World. $2.99 minimum and I bet it goes to #1 very quickly and stays there a long time.

  3. I did the beta so I could really see how it works, and I was able to use if for a couple of weeks I think. But, I’m not going to buy it because they took too long answering my questions, some of which I still haven’t gotten answers for.
