RIM & Verizon Announce 8230 Pearl Flip – Visual Voicemail Support? RIM & Verizon Kondig 8230 Pearl Flip - Visual Voicemail Support?
RIM let me know that Verizon has announced the upcoming release of the 8230 Pearl Flip. RIM laat me weten dat Verizon de komende release van de Pearl Flip 8230 heeft aangekondigd. This was a long time coming and I am glad to see that it will finally be coming out June 19th. Dit was een lange tijd komen en ik ben blij te zien dat het uiteindelijk zal komen uit de 19e juni. The sad part is that the price will be $129.99 after a $70 mail in rebate which is WAY higher than the $49.99 of its GSM variant on other carriers. Het droevige deel is dat de prijs zal 129,99 dollar worden na een mail in 70 dollar korting die is veel hoger dan de 49,99 dollar van haar GSM-variant op andere vervoerders. I did not realize that CDMA licensing costs were so high… Ik besefte niet dat CDMA licenties kosten zo hoog waren ... 
NOTE : The press release does mention visual voicemail support. OPMERKING: Het persbericht vermeldt Visual Voicemail ondersteunen. If so that will be a pretty big deal for many people! Als dat zo is dat een vrij groot probleem zijn voor vele mensen!

Nothing really else new. Niets anders echt nieuw. Sadly the Pearl Flip is more or less ignored by many developers so it might not always be the best bet for users who are into games, themes, and other add-ons. Helaas is de Pearl Flip is min of meer genegeerd door veel ontwikkelaars dus het kan niet altijd de beste inzet voor gebruikers die in games, thema's en andere add-ons. On the other hand the device is pretty solid even if it does feel like it is always falling out of your hand. Aan de andere kant van het apparaat is vrij stevig, zelfs als het voelt alsof het altijd valt uit je hand.
