HOT! BerryReview On Device App Store – 20% Off All Software!

appstore-launch-small While many of you are familiar with RIM’s App World I know others are familiar with our BerryReview store which is powered by Mobihand. Mobihand developed a new on device app store for us that really takes the App World to task on many fronts. The most important additions in my opinion is the fact that it can be used in any country (not just the US, UK, & Canada) and you do not need to use PayPal!

Hot Discount!!! From now until June 16th we are offering everybody 20% off of all software purchased through our new on device app store when you use the coupon APPSTORE.

Some of the great features in the App Store:

  • Deal-of-the-Day:  Exclusive offer of a new top-selling app every day for 50% off
  • Specials:  Loads of discounted apps and bundles can be found daily
  • Themes, themes, and more themes: we offer thousands of themes (App World doesn’t carry themes)
  • Over 5,000 Apps which can be browsed by category, top free, top paid, and new
  • Great everyday prices: app are priced as low as $0.99 versus App World minimum price of $2.99
  • Fast pay with credit card — eliminates the need for a PayPal account (we will be adding PayPal mobile soon)
  • Dedicated customer service – to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Automatic version-tracking – instant update for every app on the user phone

Personally I think it is worth checking out just for the themes and dedicated customer service. If you are having trouble with a purchase in the App World you need to deal with the developer to get your money back. In the App Store we have a dedicated customer service team to help you out every step of the way.

You can download the new App Store OTA at or read more about it by visiting from your desktop.

  1. Doesn’t work on 8900 Curve. Gives exception error. I even restarted my Curve 8900.

  2. Sorry to hear that. I will report it to mobihand. They seem to still be working out some kinks but the discount is great. The mobile friendly version should work but I don’t think the discount will work on it…

    • IMO, just like BlackBerry App World, this app appears to be bloated for what it does. With an 8830, 400K is too much memory to give up just in order to download and install other 3rd-party apps.

BTW, the discount DOES appear to work from the mobile version of the Store (i.e. App Store not necessary). 😉

    • This App crashed my blackberry when I reinstalled. I have 8900 Curve Javelin. I had to reinstall the entire OS and all other apps. What a waste of time. I won’t install till I hear about a stable version.

Thanks Ronen, I really appreciate your help. Do buzz if there is an updated version from MobiHand.

  3. Thanks for the tip tom. I just like how it notifies you of upgrades…

  4. What makes your store better then say the other 927834892374 blackberry app stores powered by Mobihand? :) It seems like if you run a blackberry “news” website, you must have a blackberry “store” too. I just don’t understand why.

    • Most of the website app stores are run by Mobihand. They do a great job and run a tight ship.
The reason we have a store is to support the site. When you purchase from our branded store you are helping us cover our expenses such as hosting. We appreciate it when people patronize our store since it pays for the coverage that our readers, such as you, enjoy.
In short buying from our branded store does not cost readers a penny more but it helps us out.

      • Fair enough, thanks for the response. :)

        • No problem Brian. Its a justified question but it is how we keep the website running. Its not like my wife or anybody else on the team would let us do giveaways from our savings accounts… :)

      • What you say about the Store and Mobihand is exactly true! Mobihand has quickly resolved issues in the past for me. Even without using the new App Store, Mobihand automatically e-mails version update notifications for purchased apps (configurable within account settings). The bottom line is that I always check availability at the BerryReview Store prior to purchasing an app — often prices are lower than other avenues!
