New ‘Mechanism’ Theme from Elecite!

Seems the boys from Elecite are back again with another theme called, Mechanism. This one is a sharp looking theme with luminous blue & chrome accents on a black background. Very nice! According to Peter, who sent in the theme, We’ve got the 4 static icons, invisible alarm screen launcher (when you tap the clock) and 7 customizable icons on the left (on the top for the Storm). Also thought we’d give it a nice little touch by implementing an open and close buttons. Basically you can hide all 7 icons to have a nice and clean home screen.”

As with all of Elecite’s themes, the design element is always top notch. I tested the Bold version and it looked super cool and worked extremely well. I personally like how the icons luminate this vibrant neon blue and the way the whole theme just seems to come alive! Great work as usual!

Mechanism costs $6.99 and is available for the 8900, 9000 & 9500 at Elecite.Com.

This is a good theme for the most part, but I couldn’t use it on my Bold because it causes a SERIOUS MEMORY LEAK. I’m talking about 30MB in a few hours time.

The themes look great but on the Storm they have memory leaks and it slows down the whole phone. What a bummer

This theme causes a MAJOR MEMORY LEAK!! Which sucks because I love this theme. The font is great, the blue looks awesome. But I can’t deal with losing 30MB is just 3 hours.

Gee, sorry for any inconvenience guys. I’ve been using this theme on my Bold and hadn’t noticed any change in my memory. Could be because the OS I’m running tends to have memory leaks anyway, but I personally didn’t see any difference while using this theme, otherwise I would have mentioned it.

Haha. No worries Vicky. It’s a great theme. It’s not your fault it has a memory leak. And FTR, I also have a memory leak on my Bold, it’s just that this theme made it leak much quicker. Regardless, good story. :)
