FTC Finally Shutting Down “Extended Warranty” Telemarketers
I have been ranting about these guys for months now and it is great to see that the FTC is finally taking down these B@$+@rds. If you have a phone number in the US you probably already got a phone call from these guys telling you that the factory warranty on your car is about to expire. These telemarketers are the lowest of the low and have been robo-dialing every number in every zip code for months.
ArsTechnica got the lowdown that the FTC is finally taking these telemarketers to task by filing a federal lawsuit along with a restraining order against the companies involved, freezing their assets and appointing a court receiver to take over their business! Booooyah!!
Hopefully these will be the last days of me getting these stupid telemarketer calls…
