AT&T Getting Magnum Onyx, Gemini, & Pearl 3G… Confused Yet?
These codenames are really getting confusing. RIM has about 10 of them floating around right now and its hard to keep your head wrapped around them all. Ross Miller of Engadget Mobile managed to score a slide deck from AT&T showing off the Magnum, Onyx, Pearl 3G, and the Gemini which look like they are all heading to AT&T. Maybe this is all part of their plan after releasing the 8900…
In short:
- The Magnum is the evolution of the Bold with QWERTY AND a touch screen
- The Onyx is a sort of hybrid between the Bold and Curve that our buddy Kevin just gave a glowing review
- Pearl 3G looks like a non-flip but it has HSDPA
- Gemini is the low end Curve that will replace the current gen and has a touch pad so far
