I am very peeved they only made it for 4.6. I have a flippen Curve runnin the newest 4.5 on CDMA and use the hell out of EN and a paid member! Yet I get no love! Very upset!!

I totally agree with you! And it was especially silly to release a free client in a storefront that was limited to three countries. They have since posted an OTA link at their website and you can bypass AppWorld.

On another note, I don’t understand why RIM is limiting AppWorld to just 3 countries; although there are rumblings of carrier discontent over sharing revenue streams from AppWorld being the reason. Saying that, it isn’t doing RIM any good with public relations with users from other countries that have no access to AppWorld.

If you want to compete with Apple/iTunes – you had better come up with a better solution. Not some half-baked, “me-too” and coming out making Blackberry owners pissed off at software vendors for limiting distribution of software just because they want to be seen as part of AppWorld. Not good for software vendors, not good for RIM and certainly not good for users!

The trend of apps being exclusive to appworld is frustrating.

I don’t need a bulky, clunky, uninspired program to download other, nicer programs for my BlackBerry.

I feel like RIM could’ve better spent time working on something else.

However, I went to their website, and really, you can still use it, without the BB app. Just sign up, and you will get an email address to send this data to, and it will store the data on their website for you to see there.

Just FYI. I’m trying it out. It’s free.
