TweetGenius: Premium Twitter Client for 8900 & Bold – $4.99
Most Twitter clients until now have been free or at least free during their current beta. TweetGenius hopes to change this with their new premium Twitter Client. They also hope to convince you to pony up $4.99 (on sale from $9.99) for the app.
Personally I think the app looks very nice. It is definitely the most Eye-Candy-ish Twitter client and there are quite a few options compared to other solutions available. Right now the app is only available for the 8900 & Bold but support for other devices is coming soon. The $4.99 license is for one device and they say they will be allowing you to move it to a different device.
On the other hand one of the main issues TweetGenius is going to need to overcome is the free competition. Without a free trial users have no good way of comparing it to free solutions like, TwitterBerry, Yatca, UberTwitter, SocialScope, BBTweet, TwitApps, Twitxr, Twibble, & TinyTwitter. All of these free solutions range from good to bad but you can try most of them without breaking the bank. TweetGenius is making great strides so far with a glowing review on EngadgetMobile but I think that a free trial should be at the top of their hit list.
