IBM Bringing Audio Enabled LotusLive Online Meetings to Your BlackBerry in June
IBM snuck this little detail in their latest press release about their new software and services for BES 5.0. After they talk about BES 5.0 and pat themselves on the back about its integration with Lotus Notes, Sametime, & Connections they talk about mobilizing their new LotusLive online meeting cloud solution. I can’t imagine that this is half as popular as WebEx but it still is interesting to see this trend of mobilizing webinars.
IBM let out that you will soon be able to participate in LotusLive online meetings from your BlackBerry. You will be able to join the meeting no matter where you are. With 3G devices they claim that you will also have integrated audio and web conferencing on the Bold & Storm but I am not sure if the audio will be over the data or voice channel.
An open beta of the mobile LotusLive Meetings will be available in June at www.lotuslive.com
I am not sure if I like this latest trend of mobilizing online meetings. I am usually busy on my BlackBerry during these boring online meetings but if the meeting is on my BlackBerry… Whatever will I do.
