What I'm waiting for is a way to manage multiple sources for these things. Like most people, I have a job. I have work contacts. I might have a specific way to sync my work contacts to my BB. Like many others, I also have a life. I have personal contacts. I might need those to sync separately. I don't like when my personal contacts show up in Outlook at work, nor when my work contacts show up in my personal GMail but they should all find their way to my BB. This shouldn't be so unique.

It's for that reason that Google Sync is no good. It monopolizes the contacts. I was lucky I was smart enough to back up all my contacts before trying it out because Sync just replaced them all. Maybe I'm looking for a solution to an impossible problem.

I think the biggest hold up for BIS folks is the answer to "sync to what?" question. That's easy to answer for BES users, far from easy for BIS. Yeah, sure, sync to Google you say, but there are a LOT of folks that don't or won't use Google (doesn't Google know enough about you already?) and the chances of a universal/ubiquitous store somewhere in the cloud for us BIS folks are not looking good for any time soon.
