TELUS & Sportsnet Launch MIKE Playoff Beard Challenge
I have to admit that I had never heard of a playoff beard before. So when Telus let me know that they have teamed up with Sportsnet for a Playoff Beard Challenge competition I thought it was the weirdest BlackBerry promotion I had ever heard of. After speaking to one of my hockey crazed friends I found that the Playoff Beard is a much honored tradition… (Sorry for not posting this earlier but I thought it was a joke)
The trick of the competition is to find and submit the “Beard to Beat” on to the Telus promotion site www.noordinaryphone.com. That site is promoting the dated Telus Mike iDen/Push-To-Talk network. You can even type in text to send to a Telus Mike user and it will automatically convert it to speech. You never know. This might really boost the popularity of the 8350i…
