mobiolasnapshot I know many people already use Snapscreen or the free CaptureIt utilities to take on device screenshots. On the other hand CaptureIt is a bit limited in terms of options and Snapscreen is selling for $7.99. So I guess it is worthy to note that Shape has released Mobiola Snapshot which is a commercial on device screenshot utility that only costs a more reasonable $2.99. Pretty cool stuff and the app looks good when I checked it out.

Options include the ability to show the utility in each menu or not which is something I wish CaptureIt had. You can set a delay for the screenshot along with if it will make a sound. My favorite option is the ability to set if it runs at startup so you can choose to fire it up only when you need it.

It works quite well for a $2.99 app which also has a free trial. Only requirement is OS 4.2+ from what I can tell.

To make a snapshot of your BlackBerry screen in most applications just press Alt + Esc and select the Mobiola Snapshot icon or press Menu > Snapshot.

    i downloaded the trial and it is pretty nice , i use snapscreen on my curve . i did not like the size of the pictures that this app took
    snapscreen pic 28k
    mobiola pic 231k
    took pic of same item
    so i deleted ill stick w snap screen

    Ronen, thanks for reviewing Mobiola Snapshot! As duck383 mentioned correctly, currently screenshots are saved in best quality and this results in large size of the files. In next version of Snapshot we’ll add an ability to choose the quality of screenshot. Expect an update within a week or two.
