Xobni Search BlackBerry App Caught on Camera
At the beginning of this month we told you that the BlackBerry Partners Fund invested in Xobni and surmised that they may develop a BlackBerry app in response. It looks like our assumptions were correct. TechCrunch scored a picture of Xobni running on a BlackBerry showing off some of its contact search capabilities. Supposedly Xobni was showing it off in San Francisco last night.
The app is already in working order and could be released as early as this summer. In case you don’t know Xobni (inbox spelled backwards) is a search application for Outlook that creates a social index out of your emails and connects you to other social networks.
This looks very promising and fits perfectly in line with RIM’s recent push towards social networking. Here is to hoping it comes out soon and wows us all!
So what do you think? Do you already use Xobni in Outlook?
