Well, I didn’t even know there was shortcuts Until, i was reading in a thread how to find out which OS you had and i tried it. I was like WOW! LOL but it was good Alt+H… Amazing! So, now i have a link that i can go to find out all those short cuts. Thank you Ronen.

I would love the battery to be a numeric value. Here is the deal, it is a property of the theme you choose. You need to hunt around for a theme you like that has the battery percentage.

Wow, that was from more than a year before I laid hands on my BB. Info seems to be a bit outdated. From my testing, this is what I found on my 8330 running 4.0.5.138:

- ALT+ Click or just “aA” on its own activate Select Mode (but not ALT on its own)
- ALT + Click again copies the selected text
-”aA”+ Click pastes

Any shortcut for CUT ?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the batter meter to display a numberical value, like you can with the signal strength??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help in advance!

Don’t flame… As nicely and you shall receive.

If you would like to know those shortcuts, open the help menu while using the app, andloof for * shortcuts.

Open *messages
Press menu
Click help
Click *message shortcuts

Substitute *messages for… Whatever….
Browser, tasks, calendar
All of those common shortcuts are all in the first menu of your help

Those would be documented shortcuts not “hidden” undocumented shortcuts which is what this article is about

No worries we will definitely cover the regular shortcuts but I highly recommend Stinsondogs shortcut guide for that!

While I love this site, I think this post is plum corny. How many regular users of BB’s will even use half of these functions? How about simple stuff like pressing T in your messages to go the to top of the list, or P to jump to the previous day and N to jump to the next? Stuff us common folkd can use.
