PodTrapper 2.0 Released: Podcast Downloader Gets a UI Facelift

Developer: VersatileMonkey Cost: $9.99

VersatileMonkey let me know that they have updated their popular PodTrapper Podcast Manager application to version 2.0. This new version brings a totally new UI that looks slick along with a bunch of new features. The app is going for a reasonable $9.99 in the store with a 30 day free trial though it might soon face competition from Viigo when it launches its audio features. I find it pretty cool that it downloads podcasts over your cell or Wi-Fi connection automatically and lets you prioritize the playback. It also bookmarks media on your device remembering where you left off in multiple files. Something I wish RIM would implement already (with video too) especially after rebooting.

This is bar-none the best podcasting software available. I looked with no luck for an app that would allow me to pause a podcast and resume it later… Podtrapper does it with ease.

The desktop software allows the user to setup a time to download podcasts through the pc rather than the phone. I really like this extra.

The interface is topnotch and the developer is constantly updating the app.

    Highly recommended
