“My Verizon” BlackBerry App Lets You Manage Account – Storm Left Out in the Cold…

myverizonapp Mbpyro over at HowardForums spotted a new My Verizon application from Verizon Wireless. It lets you manage your Verizon Wireless account from your BlackBerry which is pretty cool. The sad part is that it looks like it only supports the 8130, 8330, & 8830 leaving Verizon’s flagship BlackBerry Storm out instead of “IN”. Maybe this is what they are working on instead of adding Wi-Fi and releasing a stable OS for the Storm…

Features include:

  • Check balance
  • Check usage
  • Make a payment
  • View current plan
  • Add/Remove features
  • Reset Voicemail password\
  • Store locator
  • Check to see if a # is IN

You can pick it up OTA at mobile.vzwapp.com

  1. I was able to download this to my storm and it works fine! You have to disable compatibility (at least thats how I got it to work for me)

Works fine on my 4.5.0.138 8830, and I like it. Very handy.
Doesn’t even present to download to my 4.7.0.132 9530. Boo Verizon, your support of what ought to be your best supported BlackBerry just flat out sucks.

The Storm wasn’t left out in the cold. There’s a website that you can download this. http://is.gd/tXiY (Link is case sensitive! Go in and disable compatability mode.

  4. The app appears to be quite bloated (500K) for what it does!

  5. I have a curve, but when going to the link I don’t see where to download the application from. All i get is weatherbug, espn news, connect, get apps (but they are all paid apps from handango)

That link I just posted got it onto my Storm though can’t do much since it is a corporate liable and the app says features are only available for consumer liable accounts. It did give me my minutes and messages and data usage though.
