watt3.png We have mentioned Wattpad before on BerryReview as a free application that allows for user generated content and eBooks to be read on your BlackBerry. RIM yanked Wattpad from the App World 2 days after it launched due to the fact that users might upload copyrighted works which you could read from the application.     I feel RIM is taking this IP protection thing too far. Ich fühle mich RIM nimmt diese IP-Schutz etwas zu weit. Restrict an app because it identifies with its name that it is for a BlackBerry smartphone? Eine Anwendung zu beschränken, weil es identifiziert sich mit seinem Namen, dass es für ein BlackBerry-Smartphone ist das? Foot…meet bullet. Foot ... bullet erfüllen.

    What can save RIM not doing what Apple is famous for: Closed Environment. Was kann RIM speichern nicht das, was Apple ist bekannt für: geschlossene Umgebung. You have to jail break an iPhone just to use the video camera. Sie haben in den Knast zu brechen ein iPhone, nur um die Video-Kamera zu verwenden. You get apps only from their App Store. Sie erhalten nur von ihren apps App Store. You can't replace the battery yourself, etc…. Sie können nicht ersetzen Sie den Akku selbst, etc .... At least with RIM many free Java apps work great, and you have a whole line of hardware accessories to choose from. Zumindest bei RIM viele freie Java-Anwendungen lassen sich gut, und Sie haben eine ganze Reihe von Hardware-Zubehör zur Auswahl.
