RIM Finally “Officially” Releases Some Details on BES 5.0

BES_v5_PromoBack in December RIM sent us multiple DMCA takedown notices about BES 5.0 due to us causing “irreparable harm.” :( Since that time they openly talked about it and had multiple articles written about it. For the last few months they have relaxed their grip and stopped sending takedown notices but they still had no official word on the BlackBerry.com website about BES 5.0 though they blatantly mentioned it in all the marketing material for WES 2009.

Tom just let me know that they have finally put up some documentation about BES 5.0 and its features. So I guess we can officially talk about it now. Yay! Nothing really new that we did not tell you about before but RIM does have a new signup page for you to be notified at its release. They are touting the main features as manageability, reliability, & high availability.

Check out the details at this link

Why wont they just release these great comparison charts? Exchange | Lotus Domino

until they confirm end of life dates, I just don\’t see the compelling reason for corporations to upgrade here. 4.x is good enough.
