PhoneFace Adds Twitter Support

Developer: Electric Pocket Cost: $9.95

PhoneFace is a speed dial phone add-on that gets your friends’ profile pictures from your SD card, your Facebook profile and now from your Twitter account, too. It has been around for a while now, but the integration with Twitter is a new feature.

PhoneFace launches phone calls, email and text messages with a simple click on the photos of your most commonly dialed contacts. You see full-screen photos of your friends and thus you find them easily. PhoneFace even retrieves the most recent pictures of contacts from Facebook or Twitter, and that integration brings you updated data with photographs chosen by the contacts themselves.

PhoneFace currently costs $9.95 at the BerryReview store and there is a free trial. It supports the BlackBerry Curve, Pearl, 8800 and newer devices like the Bold and Storm. In other words, all the BlackBerry devices with a trackball or touchscreen. Other BlackBerry models are officially NOT supported.

This is the first time I heard of this app and dl the free trail…..awesome app. Two flaws I have noticed is when you add your friends in, It doesn’t sort it by alph. This app puts them in as the most you call. The other flaw is it is slow to respond and slugish on scrolling. I would give this app 8 out of 10.

Correction it does do it in alphabetical but last names not first. Wish they had a option to change that to first or last name.
