Guys,

Fyi, .jar files don't always work on RIM devices with version 4.1 OS or higher due to a bug between the RIM MDS server that's installed in carriers and other places around the world, and the handsets themselves. RIM has fixed the bug, but still has to get all of the owners of MDS servers to upgrade. Until then, downloading .jar files is problematic. RIM has decided to use their own file format, .cod, and convert jar files to .cod on the fly. This is probably never going to work perfectly and convincing RIM to run .jar directly, as most other handset OEM's do, would be a more elegant solution.

Thanks,

Installed this on my 8330 - Basically seems to be a web shortcut, except when I run the shortcut I'm taken to a page that says I'm running an unsupported handset.

Cool.
