Found online: 4.6.1.206 for the Curve 8900

One of our readers was kind enough to inform us, actually all of us readers and writers, that Orange UK has put OS 4.6.1.137 4.6.1.206 for the Curve 8900 up for grabs right here. It’s therefore an official download, which is always better than a possibly shady, leaked version.

No complaints seem to have surfaced until now. In fact, I’ve heard that “it cures cancer, makes your battery last 2 months on one charge, enables 3G, and makes babies cry.” But I don’t have an 8900 at hand to test, so I can’t confirm. It’s probably just hearsay. Let us know what you find in the new OS versions in the comments below.

EDIT: I had announced it as 4.6.1.137, but it was a mistake. The correct version is 4.6.1.206. I apologize.

Our usual warnings apply: do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable.

Sorry, I’ve made that mistake before. It’s fixed now. It was released or discovered yesterday, so it’s still new.

      Thank you!
