IntelliBerry: Intelligent Shortcut App With No Setup Necessary

Developer: Steelthorn Cost: $6.95

intelliberry Steelhorn let me know about their new BlackBerry application called IntelliBerry. It is a shortcut application that prides itself in having no setup since it uses its “intelligent” framework to learn what you use most and adapts to find what you are looking for. They even dubbed it “Magic Words.” :) In short it customizes itself as you use it which is a pretty cool idea. I always liked how RIM did that natively in the OS where it knows what email address you use to send to certain contacts and what phone number you usually dial of a contact and highlighting that one first.

IntelliBerry lets you easily launch Google searches or find a application. It kind of reminds me of Spotlight on my Macbook and the search bar in Vista. There is a free 4 day trial to give it a spin after which you can pick it up for $6.95 in the store. (Currently on sale for $4.95 until Apr 30th)

From the description:

IntelliBerry is a sleek new application that allows you to instantly find and launch any application, file, or contact on your BlackBerry device.Unlike other applications, IntelliBerry requires NO setup! Instead Intelliberry uses its intelligent framework to learn what you use the most and to adapt to find what you are looking for!
IntelliBerry also takes mere shortcuts to the next level by creating an interactive shortcut system we call Magic Words. You can do things such as simply “g spain” to instantly launch the browser with a mobile optimized Google search for the word “Spain”. Not convinced? Type “w europe” to launch a Wikipedia Mobile to bring up the article on Europe. Don’t forget “a gps” to find that GPS on Amazon to take with you. Magic Words enable you to do more and do it faster. You can even add your own custom Magic Words. The possibilities are endless!

Features:

  • No Setup Required! Install and enjoy the benefits instantly.
  • Easily find applications by name instead of search through folders for an icon.
  • “Magic Words” let you use interactive shortcuts to accomplish longer tasks in fractional time!
  • Smart-search framework “learns” to adapt the application to your usage patterns
  • Run applications from any screen. No need to ALT-Tab constantly to the Home Screen.
  • Unique application flow lets you take full advantage of both your keyboard and trackball.
  • Contact results let you instant call/sms/email/pin your contacts
  • Ability to search files! (System and external memory cards)
