Corey let me know that the free Microsoft Live Search application has been updated to version 2.1.3336.34565. Talk about a mouthful of a version number. The new version supposedly brings support for OS versions above 4.6.0.185 but I cannot confirm that. Other than that there is no change log.
If you were having trouble with the previous version you can pick up the new one free at wls.live.com OTA.
Let me know if you notice anything else new in this version.

Does this one version include a better icon? My largest complaint is honestly the craptacular homescreen icon which is easily one of the worst looking ones on my Bold’s homescreen

I’ve tried it and I don’t get much local information anyway. Its ok for weather but apart from that there’s not much doing. Google apps has local specific info down better.

So I just installed on my 8350i running 4.6.1.204 and it gives the option to speak your search. But on my 8330 running 4.5.0.131 there is no version update.
