Though I don’t always have time to peruse the theme sites as much anymore, I do occasionally go looking about so I can let our readers know what’s out there not just in premium themes, but also free themes as well. (In the process I end up finding so many new and awesome theme designers!) The forums at Crackberry.Com are always worth a peek and I can’t help but head over to the 9000 theme section to see what goody themes I can find for my Bold. Imagine my surprise when I saw this gorgeous and slick looking animated theme aptly called, ‘Slick Pool‘ designed by Obscene (BlackberryThemes.Ca).
Simple in layout, yet eye-catching in design (the water graphic is extremely vivid), I felt this theme deserved a call-out. Though he claims it is still in beta, Slick Pool worked just fine and looked totally cool on my Bold. It is animated, the water rippling gently on your main screen, and animated themes do seem to lag a bit (though this one doesn’t) and eat up battery time so download with discretion. However, if you own the Bold, I would definitely give this one a try…check out the video below.
Again, Slick Pool for the Bold is in beta which is why Obscene has it available for FREE (for the moment anyway) exclusively at Crackberry.Com. However, if you want to show him your thanks, head on over to his site to send in a donation…I’m sure he would appreciate it. Enjoy!!
