Mike Lazaridis Interviewed About The Future of RIM
Josep sent me a link to a interesting interview that Andrew Berg of WirelessWeek had with Mike Lazaridis. Nothing crazy interesting came out of the interview but I now have a greater respect for Lazaridis’s ability to avoid answering a question…
My two favorite questions that Lazaridis managed to skirt were:
- How has the iPhone influenced your strategy or vision for RIM?
- It seems like device makers are under a lot of pressure to release new devices, and sometimes glitches arise after commercial introduction. Are there a few key principles that you now insist on before approving a handset for market?
I recommend reading it if you like to see executives talk around a question. Lazaridis manages to hit the nail on the head by saying that customers want stability AND features. On the other hand here we are still sitting pretty with a very buggy OS build for the Storm…
