Alltel is Adding 5 Additional Numbers to Your “My Circle”

alltelmycircle When Verizon and Alltel announced their acquisition I thought it would be the end of Alltel as a separate entity. On the other hand during that deal Verizon was required to divest 91 Cellular Market Areas (CMAs) that will continue to operate as Alltel until they are sold. I thought at first that these 91 markets were kind of stuck in limbo but it looks like Alltel is not planning on staying dormant.

They just announced that as of tomorrow their My Circle 10 and My Circle 20 plans will both now have an additional 5 numbers to call free anytime on any network. They will now be dubbed the My Circle 15 and My Circle 25 plan add-ons… I guess that is some good news for those of you in Verizon’s divested Alltel areas. Not sure exactly who you are but at least Alltel has not forgotten you. Maybe Verizon will follow suit and up their Friends & Family plan to more than 5 or 10.

As of tomorrow you should be able to head over to www.alltel.com/myaccount and add the extra 5 numbers if you are on an eligible plan.

“Maybe Verizon will follow suit and up their Friends & Family plan to more than 5 or 10.” I’ll believe that when I see it! ;)
