Nikolaus let me know that the Pandora BlackBerry app has been updated to version 1.0.1 from 1.00.00. Not sure what changed but maybe it now supports the 8900. I thought it would be worth a shot mentioning it again and let you guys see…

You can pick it up OTA by just heading to www.pandora.com from your Berry’s browser or go to www.pandora.com/blackberry from your desktop. If that does not get you the new version try directly OTA at this link.

I just tested this with my T-Mobile 8900 and it works just fine for me via Wi-Fi and EDGE connections. Yay!

Hmm, I posted earlier but it didn’t show up, so I’ll submit again – hopefully this won’t be a duplicate.
The best OTA download link to use is just http://www.pandora.com – it will detect your device and serve the correct JAD file.
Regarding support for countries outside of the US, you’re correct — it’s all about the licensing. Currently Pandora is only licensed to stream in the US. We’d like to support more countries in the future but I have no idea on what the timeline is for that.
In terms of what changed for 1.0.1, it was mostly support for the 8900 and minor bug fixes around some networking issues that may have affected some users on BES or on unlocked Rogers phones. Also, if you are using 1.0.0 and experience an unexpected “skip to next song” when you receive a system alert tone (SMS, email, phone call) be sure to upgrade to 1.0.1 as it should now be fixed.
BTW if you are on a Rogers unlocked phone and tried 1.0.0, you may have a bad APN cached in your app settings. Please email pandora-support@pandora.com for instructions on how to clear it out and upgrade to 1.0.1.
As for Storm support, all I can say is that it is at the top of our TODO list so please hang in there!

I think what they changed is that now it refuses to even install on a Storm, whereas the last one did install but then crashed the phone.

Pandora is still not showing the love for the Storm, what a shame :’(
