WOOT! In a surprising move Pandora is now available for BlackBerry. RIM made such a big deal about the Slacker release I thought they would never open the door for Pandora. Looks like somehow Pandora managed to get their BlackBerry application out and it works like a charm on my Bold. I am not sure if this is limited to the US like Slacker but I could not check that so let me know. I just hope it is not as buggy as the Slacker app…

In case you do not know Pandora is a free personalized radio service that lets you create stations based on your favorite artists, songs, and more and it will find more music you will probably like. If you are already a user you can just sign in and it will import your current Pandora stations.
You can pick it up OTA by just heading to www.pandora.com from your Berry’s browser or go to www.pandora.com/blackberry from your desktop.
Thanks David, Raptor, & Kyle for sending this one in!

Works great on the T-Mo 8320, however not the 8900. The 8900 produces a java.lang error, however since this is version 1.0.0.0.0 I’m sure we will still see improved support for more BlackBerrys

Big fat NO on the Storm. In native mode it has the java.lang error, and in compatibility mode it says the phone isn’t supported. Whoops!

Finally, its out.
Pros: pauses and automatically continues when interrupted by a call.
Very fast and doesn’t lag.
Nice music quality.
Streams on the go from EDGE or 3G and can play it in my car.
Cons: can’t change user…
Picture quality for the artist is subpar atleast on my Bold.
Doesn’t show how many skips are left although there’s more than 1/5 of the screen empty.
No radio station caching.
For a ver. 1, I’m very happy and it was about time Pandora. Thanks

Doesn’t work on my bold. Rogers branded bold unlocked with ATT sim and acct. Getting a tunneling error. Anyone else?

Unlocked AT&T 8310, using it on T-Mobile, same tunnel issue. I’m pretty sure it’s a service book issue – one of those apps that checks carrier compatibility. I have the same issue running AIM; if the phone is not offered by the carrier you’re using, it won’t work due to the Service Book. (I think.)

Yeah. I’m getting the same tunneling error. Same setup. Rogers unlocked on AT&T. Wonder if they are looking at the vendor code? On the other side, iheartradio works well.

No love for the Storm for this? List of supported BB’s doesn’t have the Storm yet

I hope they implement caching. I loved it on slacker but I had to give it up because of too-frequent crashes.

This is a very cool app. You can virtually create your own radio staion with your favorite artist. Also, includes music from other artist with similar music.

Works on my Sprint 8330, even though that is not on the list of supported devices, I know 2 other people with a Sprint 8330 and it works for them too. Had a brief issued with it telling me my account was not active, turned out I had to put my birth date and zip code into my profile and after that it works great!

Would be nice if it worked over WiFi however.
