MyPoynt Updated – Adds Cell Phone Tower Based Location
Nikolaus and Tom let me know that the popular MyPoynt application now supports non GPS devices. It is now capable of using cell phone towers to triangulate your location like Google Maps “My Location.” This is very useful for a quick location lock indoors and also for devices that do not have GPS.
In case you don’t remember MyPoynt is a free location based search application for your BlackBerry providing GPS yellow pages, movie info, and directions.
To pick it up OTA head over to m.mypoynt.com or get more info from your computer at this link.
