BBTetris 4.1 Released: Overall Game Improvements and Bug Fixes

bbtetris Last time we mentioned the free BBTetris game, it was sitting pretty at version 3. Since then, Papped has been working hard on improving the smaller things about the game like battery usage and other code improvements. Nothing crazy new, but the game now supports the 81XX, 83XX, 8900 and 9000 Bold devices. Keep up the good work, Papped!

-(FIXED) Several paused game redraw issues from v4.0
-(FIXED) Sound not resuming correctly from some menu options
-(FIXED) “Resume” menu option showing up sometimes when it shouldn’t

-Game doesn’t progress while the Menu is displayed
-Changed pause screen.
-Changed Trackball Sensitivity screen
-Lowered the volume of sound effects
-(FIXED) Screen not redrawing properly when resuming

-(FIXED) Music would play on non-gameplay screens in some situations
-(FIXED) Screen wouldn’t redraw on Score screen in some situations

-Changed the way the background renders. This should speed up the 83xx version a little. Finally don’t have to maintain a different code base for the 83xx version…
-Optimized image loading
-(FIXED) More Bold/8900 version not redrawing the screen correctly
-(FIXED) Removed “Go” from Menu when a game is not paused. This was causing some issues.

    I an truly enjoying BBTrtris. Just why 88XX series is left out. Anyway the 83XX runs successfully on my 88XX after installation and a battery pull.

      It’s not really left out if the 83xx version runs. The “model versions” are just based on screen resolution anyways.

    even before the updates, this has been a great game. the enhancements are very nice and have not experienced any quirks, except when i don’t get past level 4 :-)
