Pocket Informant 1.5 Released – Improved All Around

PI_Storm_1 Pocket Informant was released awhile ago by WebIS but Josh let me know that they have released a significant upgrade in the last few days. This new version 1.5 adds a few customizations and options that look promising. In case you do not know, Pocket Informant is a Contacts/Calendar/Tasks manager for your BlackBerry that syncs with your native applications. If you are interested they have a free trial after which you can pick it up for $19.95 in the store.

What’s new in 1.5:

General

  • Direct Outlook sync add-in via USB (requires Desktop Installation to install)
  • Full support for Storm (with proper touchscreen support, toolbars, navigation bars etc.)
  • Integration with BlackBerry email view with create Event/Task menu commands added
  • Smart emails/URLs underlining added to note fields for events/tasks/contacts/journal
  • Space+Shift scrolling up added for dialog with Space scrolling enabled
  • Editing categories from main views added
  • Major improvements in sync with BB PIM (Contacts/Calendar/Tasks): increased stability and performance
  • More small features and bug fixes

Calendar Events

  • Month View modes with time bars and icons for tasks and appointments
  • Italic font is now used for past events
  • Option to make events in Agenda View one-lined added

Tasks

  • Option added to delete completed tasks after 15/30/60/90 days

Configuration

  • Quick Search added to options dialog
