For one thing it is 3G. For another it has Bold’s keyboard and screen (well slightly downsized but you get the idea)

Yes it is a world phone, and according to CX on Crackberry it DOES have WiFi so don’t believe everything you read on BGR. Kevin should know that by now too.

I agree that this cant get here fast enough, I have an annual update available and will snatch this up to replace my aging Voyager as my everyday/talking phone the first week it is available. I love the Storm but I carry that as a second device for media and web surfing.

I’m with DavidB, this is the phone that will replace my (aging) 8830 as well! Can’t wait for it to be release on VZW.

I don’t care wHat name or number or whatever they call it. It can’t come out soon enough in my mind! This will replace my 8830 as soon as released. I’m betting soon after the current Verizon BOGOF expires end of March this will hit the shelves which is perfect since my NE2 is this month.

Are you sure? it is world phone version of the 8900, with no wifi. Same situation existed between the 8820 and the 8830, and the 8830 was still an 88XX device.

This is just a wild guess but I’m assuming its not called the 8930 because.. well because its not anything like the 8900.

I don’t get why this isn’t just an 8930? Is there anything in here the makes it a 96XX device over an 89XX device? No Wifi = fail. I think the next interesting phone after the 8900 will be the 3G 9300 Curve, and any future touchscreen BlackBerry.
