Rumor: T-Mobile to Pilot Low-Cost Unlimited Plans for Loyal Customers

It looks like T-Mobile wants to up the ante with some crazy cheap unlimited plans. These plans will be targeted towards loyal customers who have paid on time and been with T-Mobile for 22+ months.

The plans are:

  • Single unlimited plan – unlimited anytime minutes nationwide for $49.99
  • FamilyTalk Unlimited plan – unlimited nationwide minutes for $89.99 for 2 lines – additional lines are $39.99.

The add-on packages are available and this includes hotspot@home calling for UMA. A single unlimited plan with BlackBerry seems like it will be $84.99 or $34.99 for each line. Supposedly, this will be piloted in San Francisco starting today and going nationwide in 10 days if all goes well. The dates don’t sound right, but who knows… Weirder things have happened.

T-Mobile has really been changing things around recently. They just added a month to month option for T-Mobile@Home which is also pretty cool.

  1. Absolutely true. Just switched over. I happen to live in SF tho. You have to say you live in SF to get this option.

  2. T-Mobile began service in Puerto Rico last September after the SunCom takeover, and has been offering a similar plan for $39.99 for individual accounts, and $69.99 for two-line accounts.
