The only thing that I don't like about this application is that, not only do you get the text forwarded to your email address, it also comes to your blackberry so you get the same message on your blackberry twice and the same thing happens when you respond to the text. It doesn't make any sense to force the blackberry user to use the same email address as the one linked to his/her blackberry. I'd like to have my texts forwarded to my work email that is not linked to my blackberry but I'm unable to do that because of the fact that my work email is not linked to my blackberry. Therefore, I chose to delete also because there were just too many messages coming my way to keep track of. Will come back to forum occassionally though to check out whether or not a newer version has been published.

To enable SMS2Desk is easy. Cortado offers a quickstartguide and they help with this problem here: http://www.cortado.com/euen/CortadoFree/SoftwareforBlackBerry/SMS2Desk/QuickStartGuide.aspx

Same problem as Old Geek. I have a Verizon 8800 and when I try to enable it won't and I have to say No to get out of the program. Also, in the settings, I tried to change the default email address, but said it was a Premium service - when I click on Buy, I get an error message, and there is nothing on the website that says I can upgrade or buy. Am deleting off my BB until newer version comes out. Too bad as I was excited to use!!

It doesn't work for me, I'm a 8300 Curve running 4.5 OS, I can never get it to show "Enabled". When I try to escape from the program it asks if I was to enable it and if I say "Yes" it just sits there and never gets enabled. The only way I can exit the program is to say "No" when it asks if I want it enabled.

This is really super! I don't use TXT on my BlackBerry at all, because most of my contacts I can reach through BBMsgr or GTalk. When occatioinally someone sends me a txt it is just so annoying. Why have a data plan if you have to send "data" outside of it?
