Qik For BlackBerry 0.0.10 Released – No Change Log

Developer: Qik Cost: Free

qikstreamNikolaus let me know that Qik has updated their Alpha app from 0.0.4 to 0.0.10. In case you don’t remember when we mentioned it, Qik is a free app that lets you stream live video from your BlackBerry to their site. You can then easily transfer it to YouTube from their site.

Sadly there is no change log and I have not noticed any drastic changes myself.

Nikolaus did notice that under “Setup Connection” he can now specify to use Wi-Fi or his Carrier, plus supply a APN,
username, and password.  It even has a “Guess APN settings” function if you don’t know it. I guess Qik is trying to simplify the setup…

So I am throwing it out there. Anybody notice anything new in this latest version? While you are at it did you find some cool use for it that you would like to share?

You can read more about Qik on their website or sign up at this link. If you already have a Qik account you can probably still just download the app at http://qik.com/dl/.

Anyone with an 8900 try Qik?

My Bad: Rather than set “Private” by defaut, Qik now remembers your last setting, which is actually better. Also it is supported for the 8900 according to their blog.
