FREE Pongr Price Comparison App Now In Public Beta

ponger Pongr is a cool new application for BlackBerry that helps you do price comparisons from your BlackBerry. They currently support searching certain categories by product name and model, product UPC number, or by product picture. The picture search is currently limited to the books, movies, music, and video games categories.

Also worth mentioning from their site:

  • Tip: Reduce Camera Resolution
    To reduce search times, we recomend you take pictures with the camera resolution set to the lowest setting. To change the resolution, press the menu key while the camera is open, select Options, and change the Picture Size setting to Small.
  • Compatibility
    Pongr should be compatible with any BlackBerry device running BlackBerry OS v4.2.0 and newer. We have tested it on the Pearl 8130 and 8220, and Curve 8320 and 8330 on Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Rogers, and Alltel. We are in the early stages of beta testing and would greatly appreciate feedback and bug reports. Feel free to contact us at blackberry@pongr.com.
