Visit Prague with a mobile guide
Jason of livingprague.com sent us this tip, I checked it out and I was impressed. In his own words, “It’s not going to win any high-tech beauty prizes, but it’s a result of 12 years living in the city.” In my own words, every city should have a Web site like that. It is a remarkably thorough source of information about the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic. I mean, really. Just check it for yourself, that’s enough reading for several days.
That’s not the idea, of course. The idea is to offer all that information in such a way that you can just look up specific information. So everything is indexed and you should be able to find anything you want easily, although you may have to drill down a bit deep into those links and menus because it’s a lot of information. The best part is that it is not an “institutional” Web site with all that filler that nobody ever really reads. They have focused on insider information that is really useful to anyone who is visiting the city for the first, second or third time.
Of course, the reason we’re mentioning this little gem here is that there is also a mobile version of the site, livingprague.mobi. It is indeed 100% uninteresting on the visual aspect, it’s basically just words. But it seems that all information is there, so you effectively get a very thorough Guide to Prague in your pocket.
Unfortunately, I’ve never had the privilege to visit Prague, but I have seen many pictures and can say without a doubt that it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It’s very often considered THE MOST beautiful of all. Be sure to visit it if you ever have a chance. And keep livingprague.mobi in your bookmarks.
